Improving transportation safety requires

a combination of engineering, education, enforcement, emergency response, and planning. The Regional Safety Action Plan will identify a

range of safety initiatives that address the unique needs of communities throughout the Apalachee Region while supporting the goal of reducing roadway fatalities and serious injuries.

Recommended safety initiatives may include infrastructure improvements, policy updates, public education campaigns, speed management strategies, bicycle and pedestrian safety enhancements, intersection improvements, and other evidence-based practices. These recommendations will be prioritized using crash data, stakeholder input, and community feedback to support long-term safety improvements across the region.
