Every roadway user deserves to arrive safely at their destination. Through the Safe Streets and Roads for

All (SS4A) Program, the Apalachee Regional Planning Council (ARPC) is working with local governments, transportation agencies, community organizations,

and residents to improve transportation safety across the nine-county Apalachee Region.

Established through the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, the U.S. Department of Transportation's Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) Safe Streets and Roads for All (SS4A) Grant Program provides funding to help communities develop comprehensive safety plans and implement projects that reduce roadway fatalities and serious injuries. With support from this grant, ARPC is leading

the development of a Regional Safety Action Plan that will identify transportation safety challenges, establish regional priorities, and recommend strategies to create safer streets for everyone.

The success of this effort depends on community participation. Whether you drive, walk, bicycle, ride transit, or use mobility devices, your experiences and ideas can help shape the future of transportation safety in our region. Visit this website throughout the project to learn more, attend public meetings, participate in surveys, and stay informed as the plan develops.

Apalachee Regional Planning Council is committed to ensuring that this website is accessible to everyone. ARPC strives to adhere to the accepted

guidelines and standards for accessibility and usability. To that end we have recently reviewed our entire website to identify non-compliant elements or documents and to bring them into compliance. We are continuing this process to ensure that the site remains up-to-date regarding updated guidelines. We are continually seeking solutions that will bring all areas of the site up to the same level of overall web accessibility.
