ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT

The ARPC recognizes the importance of a healthy and sustainable economy. Through our Economic Development program, we provide technical assistance to public, non-profit, and private entities in our Region to address local economic concerns. ARPC staff may assist with strategic planning, economic analyses, industry research, federal/state grant and loan preparation, and general staff support.

Economic Development District

The ARPC serves as the Economic Development District (EDD) for the Apalachee Region. An EDD is a designated planning office that is funded by the U.S. Department of Commerce, Economic Development Administration to provide technical assistance for application processing, administration of awarded projects, and identification of regional funding opportunities.

ARPC staff are currently assembling the 2018-2022 CEDS draft with input from the Steering Committee. Check back for updates, or contact us with any questions.

The primary functions of the EDD include:

  • Preparing and maintaining the Region’s Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS).

  • Assist with implementation strategies identified in the CEDS.

  • Provide technical assistance to local governments and economic development organizations on their economic development activities, programs, and grant applications.

Apalachee Regional Planning Council is committed to ensuring that this website is accessible to everyone. ARPC strives to adhere to the accepted guidelines and standards for accessibility and usability. To that end we have recently reviewed our entire website to identify non-compliant elements
or documents and to bring them into compliance. We are continuing this process to ensure that the site remains up-to-date regarding updated guidelines. We are continually seeking solutions that will bring all areas of the site up to the same level of overall web accessibility.
