State Housing Initiatives Partnership (SHIP) – Jackson, Calhoun, and Gulf County
For homeowners currently occupying your homestead property seeking housing-related assistance or first-time homebuyers looking to purchase a home in Jackson, Calhoun, or Gulf County, Florida. Eligible Jackson County residents will be assisted through the following strategies identified by the Jackson Board of County Commissioners (BoCC) in the Local Housing Assistance Plan (LHAP): purchase assistance, emergency repairs, owner occupied housing rehabilitation/repairs, and demolition/reconstruction. Eligible Calhoun County residents will be assisted through the following strategies identified by the Calhoun Board of County Commissioners (BoCC) in the Local Housing Assistance Plan (LHAP): purchase assistance, owner occupied housing rehabilitation/repairs, and foreclosure prevention/mortgage assistance. Eligible Gulf County residents will be assisted through the following strategies identified by the Gulf Board of County Commissioners (BoCC) in the Local Housing Assistance Plan (LHAP): purchase assistance and owner-occupied housing rehabilitation/repairs.”
Hurricane Housing Recovery Program (HHRP)
For Jackson County residents impacted by Hurricane Michael and are seeking aid through the Hurricane Housing Recovery Program (HHRP). Eligible residents will be assisted through the following strategies identified by the Jackson Board of County Commissioners (BoCC) in the HHRP Funding Agreement and Local Housing Assistance Plan (LHAP): purchase assistance, owner occupied housing rehabilitation/repairs, and demolition/reconstruction.
