The 2018-2022 Apalachee Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS) is available as a result of community input and feedback. The CEDS undergoes a full rewrite every five years, with updates every other year. The most recent version is the 2018-2022 CEDS. A new update will be completed in 2020. GOALS:
The Florida Chamber’s Six Pillars and the Northwest Florida Forward plans provide
comprehensive, insightful focus areas. These include reinforcing talent, improving
infrastructure, and crafting high-quality places. Apalachee CEDS will concentrate
– complementing these focus areas – on the following goals:
• ENHANCE INTERCONNECTIVITY
& COLLABORATION
• FORTIFY & ANIMATE APALACHEE
STRENGTHS
• BRING NEW VOICES TO THE ECONOMIC
DEVELOPMENT DRAWING BOARD
OBJECTIVES:
The 2013-2017 CEDS crafted 59 objectives. The 2018-2022 edition narrowed the objectives to 35 total. Goals and objectives of the CEDS are informed by the CEDS committee, which is composed of stakeholders from throughout the nine- county Apalachee Region.
