The 2023-2024 Apalachee Regional Planning Council Vulnerability Assessment is complete. Over the past year, ARPC staff diligently collected field data and mapped many of the
municipalities in Gulf, Jackson, and Wakulla Counties. As part of the collection process, ARPC staff generated 3D models of a variety of the most important infrastructure assets in the Region. These assets include lift stations, storm water treatment, wastewater treatment, and emergency facilities. This project, funded by the Office of Coastal Resilience of the Florida Department of Environmental Protection, aims to deliver key outputs including a list of the top 5-10 critical assets in the 14 towns and municipalities within these counties, as well as 3D models of these critical assets. Once finalized, the 2023-2024 Apalachee Regional Planning Council Vulnerability Assessment formally advances the documentation required from local governments to apply for FDEP Resilience implementation funds.
